Senior Tax Manager Benefits
200 hours of PTO annually , with increases available based on tenure
Hybrid schedules available as well as Flex Time options
Sign-on bonuses
As a Tax Manager or Senior Manager , you will prepare and file federal and state business, individual, and other related tax forms . You will manage a book of business , provide clients with tax guidance and planning , and assist with various research projects throughout the year.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversee staff who help with the preparation of returns
Maintain client and staff relationships
Prepare and review business and individual tax returns
Tax planning and projections requested by clients
Research tax issues
Provide recommendations for process improvements
Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses
Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities
Answer calls and emails from clients in a timely manner
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry organizations
Transfer expertise of industry knowledge, trends, and best practices to others in the firm
Perform other related duties as assigned
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
General proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to learn from previous experiences and apply knowledge to future assignments
Quality communication between other staff and clients
Ability to manage and develop new staff members
Attention to detail and organized
Be a team player
Bachelor's degree required
CPA, EA, or JD required
At least 8 full busy seasons worked in the tax profession helping to prepare and review individual and business tax returns
Experience with Thomson Reuters Suite preferred
