Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in Rochester, New York. This travel Nursing opportunity places you on a 19-bed MS/Tele cardiac-focused unit within a hospital setting. Start date 08/31/2026 for a weeks-long assignment. Shift is 4x12-hour Nights. Weekly pay ranges from $1,923 to $1,999 per week. There are no guaranteed hours. This assignment must be completed on an Epic charting system and requires at least basic credentialing and compliance review before start.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults and geriatrics on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, with a focus on cardiac diagnoses
- Telemetry monitoring: interpret dysrhythmias, respond to rhythm changes and alarms, document observations and interventions
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with IV teams, Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Transport, and Rapid Response as needed
- Manage IV access, phlebotomy tasks, blood draws, and peripheral line care
- Administer oxygen therapy and assist with non-invasive airway management; adhere to oxygen protocols
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE guidelines; contribute to patient safety and code/rapid response events
- Complete documentation in Epic promptly and accurately; maintain charting compliance

Requirements
- NY RN license in hand to submit
- BLS certification; NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Phlebotomy and IV placement competencies
- Telemetry experience including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Ability to work in a hospital MS/Tele cardiac unit; 4x12 Night shift
- Compliance restrictions: candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Return to Office/Time Off restrictions: cannot exceed 1 week RTO and no more than 10 days RTO allowed per contract
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Flu vaccine status not specified
