Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Allegan, MI 49010
Job Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: Day | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $24–$26/hr, based on experience

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to provide front-office and back-office support in a clinical setting. The MA will assist with patient rooming, vital signs, scheduling, phlebotomy, EMR documentation, and other clinical support duties.

• Greet, register, and room patients.

• Schedule appointments and assist with scheduling needs.

• Answer phones and communicate with patients professionally.

• Obtain and document patient vital signs.

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture.

• Administer vaccines within scope of practice.

• Perform EKGs as needed.

• Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR.

• Support efficient patient flow and daily clinic operations.

• Assist physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.

• Participate in health education and outreach activities.

• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.

• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.

• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.

• EMR experience required.

• Front-office and back-office medical assisting experience.

• Recent patient rooming and vital signs experience.

• Appointment scheduling experience.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

• Medical Assistant Certification

• EKG experience

• Point-of-Care (POC) testing

• Athena EMR

• BLS or CPR

Pay Rate: $24–$26/hr
