Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborating with clients to create customized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and unique circumstances.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client needs.

• Providing educational support to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• S Monitoring and documenting client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

• Engaging in multidisciplinary team efforts, working closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to deliver integrated care.

• Staying current with the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapy techniques and patient support.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in ongoing case reviews, team meetings, and professional development sessions to enhance collaboration and personal growth.

• Advocating for clients’ rights and addressing societal stigma related to mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals struggling with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. By providing evidence-based treatment and compassionate care, you will engage with a wide range of clients from varied backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as those affected by domestic violence, homelessness, or refugee status.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
