About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead its remote team in the development of advanced systems that harness industrial data to optimize mission-critical workflows. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions, and driving the adoption of best practices in software development. A key aspect of the role is overseeing the deployment of these systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and performance. The VP of Engineering will also be instrumental in mentoring and guiding engineers, as well as establishing and tracking key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the engineering function. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a background in engineering with a strong focus on software development, at least 8 years' of experience, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and TypeScript. Experience in leading engineering teams, managing complex projects, and a strong understanding of data systems and workflows in industrial settings are essential. While not mandatory, experience in AI, data analytics, or related fields, as well as familiarity with cloud technologies and deployment strategies, is preferred. A background in manufacturing or logistics industries is also a plus, as the company is dedicated to revolutionizing the use of industrial data in these sectors.
