Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client to support the timely collection and processing of customer payments while helping maintain the overall accuracy of financial records. This temporary opportunity is located in Pennsauken, NJ . The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing customer accounts, resolving payment concerns, and contributing to healthy cash flow through effective accounts receivable practices. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys balancing customer service with financial operations and has a strong attention to detail.

Compensation:
$24.00 - $26.00/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

• Manage customer account portfolios by reviewing outstanding balances, conducting collection outreach, and fostering positive business relationships.
• Process incoming payments and ensure transactions are accurately recorded within accounting systems.
• Research account discrepancies, billing concerns, and payment variances to help achieve timely resolution.
• Monitor receivable aging trends, prioritize follow-up activities, and support efforts to improve collection performance.
• Prepare and distribute account documentation while maintaining accurate records, payment histories, and account notes.
• Partner with internal departments to address customer inquiries, reconcile accounts, and streamline payment-related processes.
• Uphold organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and financial recordkeeping standards.

Qualifications and Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

• At least one year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, cash application, or a related finance function.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with the confidence to professionally manage customer account discussions.
• Proven ability to balance customer service and collection objectives while maintaining productive business relationships.
• Comfortable working independently, organizing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including experience using Excel for financial tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms or accounting software is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and a high level of integrity when handling financial information.
