Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with supervising surgeons to provide high-quality patient care, performing comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic test reviews to ensure patients are well-prepared for surgery.
• Assist during surgery by handling instruments, suturing, and performing minor procedures in compliance with established protocols.
• Manage daily patient rounds, writing orders, and facilitating hospital admissions and discharges to enhance patient flow and operational efficiency.
• Provide education and pre/post-operative instructions to patients and their families, ensuring a thorough understanding of surgical procedures and expectations.
• Engage in consultations within the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit to optimize patient management and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will work with a diverse patient population of all ages, requiring a compassionate approach to care. Patients may range from those needing elective surgeries to urgent surgical interventions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a Master’s preferred.
• Board certification as a Physician Assistant is mandatory.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Active DEA License, necessary for prescribing medications.
• Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training within the first 12 months of employment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of advanced practice experience in surgical or hospital medicine.
• Experience as a first assistant in the operating room, particularly with laparoscopic and robotic procedures, is highly valued but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
