About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Accelerated Underwriting and Analytics. This role is pivotal in leading advanced research, analytics, and actuarial support for accelerated and automated underwriting programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing industry-leading mortality and risk-selection assumption methodologies, evaluating 3rd-party data sources, and ensuring that analytical models meet pricing guidelines and regulatory expectations. Collaboration is a key aspect of the role, as the AVP will work closely with clients, pricing actuaries, underwriters, and a global data science team to enhance mortality assumptions and support innovation in risk selection. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in US life insurance or reinsurance, with a strong technical background in predictive modeling, AI tools, and machine-learning approaches. A Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or a related discipline, along with a Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA), is required. The role also involves team leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring strong analytical standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of stakeholder management, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have hands-on experience with R, Python, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
