Transportation Analyst

Summary The Transportation Analyst manages Transportation Management business processes—including procurement, freight bill audit & payment, shipment planning & execution—to ensure that Ryder’s solutions meet customer requirements. The role involves repeatable analysis and tasks that drive continuous cost and service improvement through recommendations and implementations, and requires interfacing with customers and carriers, as well as representing Ryder in customer meetings. Responsibilities Monitor and manage key performance indicators and execute root‑cause analysis using TM operating systems. Provide support activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data processing, reporting analysis, and customer inquiries. Collaborate with clients to resolve problems and coordinate implementations. Work with internal SMEs to resolve issues and support implementations. Distribute weekly and monthly customer metrics and develop performance reports. Prepare various reports and support documents, updating SCLM and SCMP as needed. Initiate continuous process improvement activities and monitor results. Measure transportation network cost and service performance, analyze data, and develop improvement initiatives in support of the Account Executive. Coordinate TM procurement activities to achieve optimal cost/service network solutions. Prepare support materials for client quarterly and monthly account reviews. Evaluate, quantify, and present continuous improvement opportunities for assigned accounts. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (French and English for Quebec locations). Strong planning and organizational skills. High degree of initiative. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent interpretation of complex statistical data. Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and customer focused. Qualifications College degree or technical certification in Business, Logistics, Transportation, or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation (preferred). Minimum 2 years of industry‑related experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in customs and freight flow and Transportation Management. Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and internet use. Travel None. Job Category Transportation. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan.
