Maintenance Team MemberEstablished in 1887, Denver Country Club is recognized as the first club west of the Mississippi and one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country. The club hosts an 18 hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators, indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, casual and fine dining. The club has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962-1964), Trans-Mississippi Amateur (upcoming 2022), Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A Golf Course renovation was completed in 2020 - Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped to secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States.This position requires this person to perform general and complex repairs, and preventative maintenance safely and properly to club assets, and building infrastructure. Perform repairs to the facility to make sure the club building is running efficiently, and that the appearance of member areas are up to standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms general handy-man type maintenance duties associated with the facilityPerforms carpentry work including drywall repair, painting, hang pictures, locksmith workMoves furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requestedParticipates in monthly building inspectionsAssists with the renovation/remodeling of Club; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structuresAssist the maintenance team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment, heating & cooling systemsResponds effectively to all emergencies and emergency maintenance requestsStrong focus on customer service and creating positive interactions with team and contractorsAbility to communicate status of work activity and identify methods to perform activities safely, effectively, and efficientlyComply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate themMaintains a clean and safe work environment and maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or LawsMust be able to use various power tools and equipment necessary to perform work tasksPerforms and/or conducts the performance of all maintenance service requests, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenienceMonitors and assists contractors with the performance of their assigned responsibilitiesComplies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materialsAssists the Clubhouse Services Director and GM with additional projects as neededRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities3-5 years' experience in a maintenance roleDemonstrated ability to pay attention to detail, with good time management skillsWell organized, with the ability to multi-taskExcellent Communication Skills and Follow UpAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and articulate concernsAbility to work in various temperatures.Ability to work early hours, overtime, weekends and holidaysPossess sound judgment, problem solving and common-sense thinking skillsMust possess basic computer skills, ability to operate Windows based softwareSquatting Stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pump, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting deviceLift and carry objects of up to 50 pounds for short distancesDenver Country Club is an equal opportunity employer.
