Accounting Manager

Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support the Controller in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. This role oversees accounting staff, manages the month-end close process, supports budgeting and forecasting initiatives, and drives continuous improvement across accounting processes and systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple subsidiaries.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate external audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing coaching and performance management.
- Perform other assigned duties and special projects that support departmental and organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA Designation preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with financial consolidations and multi-entity accounting preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings including background check, drug screening, and MVR (if applicable).

- This position will work at the corporate office.
- This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment. Occasional extended hours may be required during month-end close, year-end close, audits, budgeting cycles, and other business-critical periods. Typical corporate office hours are Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm.
