Responsibilities:

• Maintain individual ASH trust funds and ACPTC resident trust funds, including cash disbursements and check deposits to and from patients and ASH departments.
• Maintain and balance cash drawers, investigate overages or shortages, enter and reconcile daily deposit transactions, and reconcile the check register.
• Approve patient withdrawal vouchers, review accounts for errors, and maintain ledger accounts for all transactions.
• Review and verify fiscal documents for the revolving fund related to cash and check disbursements.
• Receive cash and checks for maintenance payments and personal spending and prepare daily deposits for multiple funds.
• Respond to inquiries from patients, staff, guardians, and family members regarding patient deposit funds with clear and timely communication.
• Follow banking policies and procedures and maintain supporting documentation for all accounts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of principles, methods, and practices of fiscal and financial record keeping and the ability to interpret and apply accounting principles.
• Skill in maintaining ledgers and journals, analyzing fiscal data, and applying procedures and systems used in statistical record keeping.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to support a diverse, multicultural workforce and foster an inclusive, discrimination-free environment.
• Familiarity with Performance Management (PM), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and Lean methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with patient financial operations or healthcare trust fund administration.
• Experience in government or public-sector accounting environments.
