Position Overview Renaissance Indianapolis North seeks a Culinary Professional to assist the culinary leadership team in kitchen production, menu development, and food preparation across our dining venues. The role is located on the property’s 266 guest rooms and 12,400 sq ft of event space in Indianapolis, Indiana. Responsibilities Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods, including grill, sauté, and fry. Use knives and kitchen equipment to prepare ingredients for cooking. Read and recreate recipes accurately. Maintain consistency in all food preparation. Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients, including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat. Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Be responsible for the quality of ingredients. Assist the culinary leadership team in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Qualifications 2‑3 years of previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment. Active food handler’s certification or ability to obtain one. Willingness to work a variety of day, night, and weekend shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Stamina to be on your feet for long periods of time. Capacity to lift at least 50 pounds. Minimum age of 21 years. Desire to exceed expectations. Energetic personality. Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $17.50–$17.50 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $500 total ($250 paid after 30 days, $250 paid after 90 days).
