Industrial Production Manager

Industrial Production Manager Job Duties Manages the materials procurement, purchasing, and production planning. Ensures that production stays on schedule and within budget. Based on inputs from MRP (customer orders, forecast, and buffer stock), creates, monitors and tracks production plans, schedules, and shop orders. Researches material shortages and coordinates with the purchasing organization to ensure the material supply chain supports the production plan. Monitors actual production at the contract manufacturer to ensure schedules are being executed timely and effectively. Streamlines the production process. Analyzes assembly and production data. Writes production reports. Creates ways to make the production process more efficient. Fixes any production and logistics problems. Hires, trains, and evaluates workers. Monitors the workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements. Determines whether new machines are needed or whether overtime work is necessary. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields and two (2) years experience in production management, including: Production planning and management, logistics, and materials management. ERP software: Systems Applications and Products (SAP). Oversee each production process – negotiating and setting budgets and deadlines with clients and colleagues, organizing and improving workflow and project flow, using a project management methodology, overseeing quality control and improving industrial process efficiency. Develop training programs for workers and collaborate with them to achieve production milestones. Budget controls – assessing the resources needed, estimating costs, finding ways to minimize expenses and collaborating with senior management and clients to develop a budget. Experience in complex supply chain and evaluating problems/information. Analyze customers' forecast, company’s inventory to manage order fulfillment and enhance overall supply chain management capability. Responsible for inventory management reports, inventory reconciliation, root cause analysis, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
