Bookkeeper / Accounting Operations Coordinator Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Work Arrangement: Fully onsite Employment Type: Temp-to-hire Compensation: DOE A growing manufacturing company in the Jacksonville Beach area is seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounting Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day accounting, inventory-related processes, and administrative operations. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working in a small‑company environment, takes pride in accurate books and records, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats as systems and processes continue to improve. The ideal candidate will understand basic accounting principles, including debits and credits, and will be comfortable working in QuickBooks Online. The company has been modernizing its systems, including moving to QuickBooks Online and using a digital inventory platform. This role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, communicative, and comfortable asking questions when something does not look right. Responsibilities Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support Process AP, AR, bill payments, and cash receipts Enter and maintain sales orders and purchase orders Assist with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations Post and review accounting entries in QuickBooks Online Help ensure data is accurate before it is posted into accounting and inventory systems Support inventory-related accounting and reconcile inventory system data to QuickBooks Online Assist with cost of goods sold entries and inventory reporting Maintain accurate notes, records, and audit trails Support production schedule tracking and operations-related documentation Assist with administrative correspondence and light office/leadership support Learn and support tools related to e-commerce, inventory, and internal reporting Qualifications Prior bookkeeping, accounting clerk, accounting specialist, or junior staff accountant experience Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred AP, AR, bank reconciliation, sales order, and purchase order experience preferred Manufacturing, inventory, logistics, distribution, or product-based company experience is a plus Experience with ERP or inventory systems is a plus Comfortable working in Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets Mac OS experience or comfort working in a Mac-based environment preferred Shopify, Amazon, Canva, or e-commerce platform experience is a plus, but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to double-check work for accuracy Must be comfortable asking questions, communicating issues, and taking ownership of mistakes Must be able to work onsite in Jacksonville Beach Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a reliable, detail-oriented accounting professional who can work independently, communicate well with different departments, and keep accurate books and records.
