Sr Communications Specialist

PacifiCorp seeks a Sr Communications Specialist to shape clear, compelling messages that support safe, reliable electric service and renewable energy growth. In this role, you’ll plan and execute internal and external communication campaigns, develop press materials and digital content, and support executive and crisis communications in a highly regulated environment. You’ll collaborate with operations, regulatory and community teams to explain complex utility topics, promote grid modernization, and strengthen stakeholder trust while upholding PacifiCorp’s high standards for safety, ethics and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic internal and external communications for PacifiCorp’s utility operations and initiatives Craft clear, accurate messaging on grid reliability, safety, renewable energy and regulatory matters Write and edit press releases, talking points, presentations, fact sheets and executive communications Manage content for digital channels, including website, email, and social media in coordination with brand guidelines Support crisis and incident communications, ensuring timely information to media, employees and stakeholders Collaborate with operations, regulatory, legal and leadership teams to align communications with company strategy Coordinate media inquiries, prepare spokespersons and support community outreach and public meetings Measure and report on communication effectiveness, using analytics to refine strategies Corporate communications Utility or energy industry knowledge Media relations Crisis and issues communications Copywriting and editing Digital and social media content Stakeholder and community communications Regulatory and policy communication Presentation and messaging development Analytics and reporting on communications Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) preferred Experience working within or with utilities, energy, or other regulated industries Strong writing portfolio demonstrating complex topic communication #J-18808-Ljbffr Reporter Newspapers
