Business Performance Consultant

Opportunity OverviewThe Business Development Consultant directly supports each Market Leader in identifying growth and business opportunities in a specific market and developing business plans and strategies to increase profitable market share. They are responsible for analytical, financial and metric forecasting to build long-range strategic plans and annual objectives with the Market Leader and are responsible for ongoing execution of market growth strategies impacting business expansion, productivity, revenue growth, and expense management. They work with the home office to deliver advisor/client/product solutions and optimize overall market operations. What You'll Do: Facilitate annual and ongoing strategic and operational planning at the market level in concert with market leadership team. Leverage regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis to identify critical market opportunities, articulates needs and anticipated outcomes to capture opportunity (i.e., creates business cases), negotiate resourcing across regions, markets, and divisions, and creates plan documentation.Lead the Monthly Performance Review process for each Market, leveraging national best practices, with Market Leadership team and provides, in partnership with support functions, analytic, financial, and operational consulting for Market team on potential adjustments to achieve targets and objectives.Leverage Metrics that Matter, Region Key Measures, financial reporting and other data and reporting sources to identify the biggest opportunities for a Market. Provide consultation to the Market team recommending strategies, doing root cause analysis, and articulating trade-offs which will enable the ML to make decisions on what to prioritize and how to execute in the market.Track and analyze sales and productivity metrics to inform future strategies. Forecast, provide sales, revenue, and expense projections, and develop targets to achieve a sustainable business model aligned to market outcomes. 'Account for competitive landscape and specific competitors when shaping plans and strategies.Lead and oversee projects directly and manage ongoing execution support with key home office functional areas (e.g., real estate, marketing, product) to deliver on intended outcomes; adjust specific implementation in line with market opportunities and escalates to resource alignment team as needed. Monitor benefit of strategies in relation to overall market objectives.Collaborate with, and influence across, peers and leadership within business performance team, escalating opportunities, and best practices to drive organizational improvements; present and influence at senior most branch development and enterprise levels. Partner across organization broadly, including human capital, Firm Analytics, Finance, and Data & Insights organizations.Position RequirementsWhat Experience You Need:Bachelor's degree Obtain both the SIE and Series 7 top off license within 6 months of hire6+ years of relevant work experience, including: Excellent knowledge of the industry or firm and its business practices and processesStrong knowledge of a field structure and market operating systemProficiency in analytic and technical knowledge of business performance (metrics and financials), market trend analysis, and applicable tools What Could Set You Apart:Advanced Degree CFA or CFPCandidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.Company DescriptionJoin a financial services firm where your contributions are valued.
