ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES  

·         Collaborates with RSMs on pricing strategies to quote or update new business opportunities based on customer requirements, market conditions, and inventory positions and availability.

·         Acknowledges and responds to customer inquiries via phone or email, providing efficient, timely, high-level customer service to maximize order and/or problem resolution.

·         Responsible for soliciting and following up on previously quoted opportunities, qualified leads, referrals, and inactive accounts.

·         Manages customer calls regarding material rejections and order complaints by investigating the origin of the complaint, determining who or what is involved, including appropriate personnel, recommending corrective and preventive actions to resolve problems, and following up to ensure resolution.

·         Develops strong product and market knowledge and cultivates strong customer relationships to learn about relevant markets, materials, and services needed.

·         Enters and confirms orders in the system with all required information and makes modifications as needed.

·         Follows orders throughout the sales cycle, communicating and collaborating with other departments to ensure materials ship on time and as needed.

·         Coordinates outside purchasing of materials and services to fulfill customer orders not in stock or outside the company’s capabilities.

·         Communicates weekly open orders reports and order status to ensure visibility into the business process and manage customer expectations.
