Position Title: Business Development Representative (BDR)
Location: West Hartford, CT (Hybrid - Minimum 2 Days/Week In-Office)
Compensation: $80K Base + $110K-$120K OTE + Full Benefits
Travel: Minimal; occasional conferences or client-related events if applicable

This organization is a boutique legal and compliance-focused firm specializing in insurance brokerage and M&A transactions. The team works on sophisticated, high-value deals while maintaining a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and tech-forward culture. Unlike traditional law firms, the company emphasizes innovation, operational efficiency, and modern sales processes to support continued growth. The organization is currently building out its sales infrastructure to capitalize on strong market demand and referral-based business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct deep-dive prospect research within insurance and M&A markets to identify qualified opportunities.
  • Own CRM hygiene, data integrity, and pipeline management processes across the organization.
  • Act as an internal CRM and process resource for the legal team, ensuring consistency and accountability.
  • Qualify inbound and referral-generated leads to ensure productive discovery meetings for attorneys and leadership.
  • Generate pipeline reporting and analytics using CRM systems and Excel tools.
  • Support sales process improvements and help streamline communication, lead follow-up, and pipeline visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and legal staff in a highly accountable EOS-driven environment.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, lead generation, sales operations, or B2B sales.
  • Strong CRM experience with a proven ability to maintain clean, accurate, and actionable data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfort working with reporting and research tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with executives and attorneys.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with a minimum of two days onsite weekly.
  • Coachable mindset with the ability to execute detailed direction quickly and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience within insurance, legal services, M&A, or professional services industries.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Clio Grow, Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
  • Familiarity with EOS processes or L10 meetings.
  • Research-heavy or data-driven sales support background.
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: Approximately $80,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE) / Bonus Structure: Estimated $110,000-$120,000 OTE based on pipeline quality and performance metrics.
