This is a true sales and hunting role focused on outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, and securing new client partnerships. The ideal candidate is competitive, resilient, goal-oriented, and energized by building relationships and winning new business.

Business Development Representative Responsibilities

• Drive new business development through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social selling.
• Identify, engage, and secure new client partnerships for Hunter’s STEM-focused recruiting services.
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive outreach and lead generation.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand client hiring challenges and workforce needs.
• Meet and exceed sales activity and revenue goals.
• Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline updates, and client records.
• Partner closely with Recruiting and Account Management teams to support successful delivery and client growth.
• Work with Operations to prepare and finalize client agreements.
• Communicate business development activity, market feedback, and wins to leadership.

Business Development Representative Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or outbound prospecting environments.
• Strong interest in a true hunting role focused on new business acquisition.
• Comfortable with cold outreach, relationship development, and closing new opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Competitive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and motivation to exceed goals.
• Ability to handle rejection, stay resilient, and maintain consistent outreach activity.
• Strong technological aptitude and CRM proficiency preferred. xihmbke
