Job Description Job Description HOT JOB - IMMEDIATE NEED We are actively recruiting for a Staffing Coordinator to support a busy hospital Resource Management Center (RMC) . This is a high-volume, hospital-based staffing operations role and one of our most challenging openings to fill. Please review the qualifications carefully before submitting candidates. Location ** Charleston, SC ** Schedule Full-Time Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Weekends Required (up to 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period based on operational needs) Holiday Flexibility Required ** 100% Onsite ** Required Experience We're seeking candidates with true hospital staffing operations experience , including: 2+ years of healthcare staffing coordination (3-5+ years preferred) Experience working in a Centralized Staffing Office, Resource Management Center (RMC), Float Pool, Bed Management, House Supervisor support , or similar hospital environment Real-time staffing decision-making Managing call-outs and shift coverage Addressing staffing shortages and workforce allocation Understanding staffing ratios Working with patient census Acuity-based staffing Supporting nursing operations About the Role This is a high-volume operational call center supporting inpatient hospital staffing. Candidates must be comfortable: Answering incoming operational calls Managing multiple priorities simultaneously Making real-time staffing decisions Working independently after minimal orientation Communicating professionally with nursing leadership, charge nurses, and hospital supervisors Candidates Typically Not Considered Please do not submit candidates whose experience is primarily: Patient scheduling Medical receptionist/front desk Admissions Outpatient clinic scheduling Home health scheduling LTAC or rehabilitation scheduling without centralized hospital staffing experience Administrative scheduling only Recruiting or HR-only backgrounds Additional Requirements No competing employment No PRN commitments No scheduling restrictions Must be committed to the assigned shift Weekend and holiday availability required Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment Preferred Systems Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: Smart Square Kronos UKG Epic Similar workforce management platforms This hiring team is looking for someone who can step into a fast-paced hospital staffing environment with minimal training and quickly become a productive member of the team.
