Travel RN | Acute Leukemia & Hematology | 12-Hour Days/Nights

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Acute Leukemia & Hematology unit. This position provides specialized care for adult and geriatric patients , primarily those with newly diagnosed acute leukemia . The ideal candidate has strong Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience and is comfortable managing high-acuity patients requiring continuous monitoring, blood product administration, and central line care. Chemotherapy certification is not required.

Schedule:

• 12-Hour Nights or 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating
• Rotating shift contracts may include days, nights, or a combination based on unit staffing needs
• Weekend rotation required based on unit needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• First-time travelers accepted (client review required)
• Experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
• Epic EMR experience required

Patient Population:

• Adults and Geriatrics
• Newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• Hematology patients requiring specialized medical care

Certifications Required:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification (not required)
• NIHSS

Required Skills:

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Rapid Response Team activation and collaboration
• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Blood product administration
• Feeding tube care and management
• Central line blood draws
• Peripheral IV care and management
• PICC line management
• IV insertion
• Accurate documentation in Epic
