Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:30) with a 36 or 48-hour option. Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Manage and monitor patients experiencing a variety of medical conditions.
• Perform necessary medical procedures and administer medications as prescribed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergency situations and act swiftly in critical situations.
• Float within the specialty as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI.
• Experience in handling a diverse patient population with various diagnoses.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.
