Step into an impactful role as a Special Education Teacher and ARD Facilitator, supporting junior high students for the 2026/2027 school year. As a key figure in fostering inclusion and achievement, you’ll oversee a dynamic junior high caseload and dedicate your expertise to both instruction and ARD committee processes. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference in a supportive educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification in Special Education (state-appropriate credentials)
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a junior high or middle school setting
- Strong background or training as an ARD Facilitator, with in-depth knowledge of ARD processes and IEP development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion and dedication to fostering student growth and success
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a junior high caseload, providing direct specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Serve as the ARD Facilitator, preparing for, scheduling, and leading Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor progress, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify curriculum and adapt classroom strategies
- Advocate for students and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with school and district expectations
This is a full-time contract opportunity, working 40 hours per week throughout the 26/27 academic year.
