Your Role And Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced candidate with strong server repair and troubleshooting experience. Prior data center experience is preferred. This position is for a data center server technician that will be servicing HP, DELL, Lenovo, SUN, and other x86 based server equipment in a dedicated account in Delaware Ohio. You will be working second shift during the hours of 5:00pm – 3:30am Wednesday through Saturday. An in-depth background verification/check is required by the client to be on-boarded and gain access to the facility. This will be cause for dismissal if not cleared by the customer background check process to work at the account. Preferred Education Technical Diploma Required Technical And Professional Expertise Have experience in Customer Service & Customer Interaction Have basic computer knowledge (e.g., knows what a hard drive, RAM, memory DIMM, IP address) Can demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and given the appropriate tools follow instructions to perform a repair or replacement (e.g. follow the instructions of a hardware maintenance manual to successfully complete a repair/replacement) Be comfortable using and working with various tools (e.g. laptop, screw driver, pry tool, needle nose pliers, wrench) to complete necessary installation, maintenance or repair tasks Problem solving skills Self-motivator and enjoys working in a Team environment Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Self driven and able to work alone without direct oversight. Good communication skills. Process orientated. Technical School Degree/Diploma. Prior experience in field repair of computer or mechanical equipment, preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr IBM
