Communications Specialist II
Location: Milpitas, CA – Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Contract: 6 months, with potential to extend or convert
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Position Overview
We are seeking a Communications Specialist to support Global Operations Communications across internal communications, digital channels, content development, reporting, and communications operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and project coordinator who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging communications for a broad employee audience. This role will support cybersecurity-related initiatives, so experience working with technical teams or content is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and publish internal communications across email, SharePoint, newsletters, presentations, digital signage, and other employee channels.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand messaging.
Coordinate communications projects from initial content development through stakeholder review, approval, and publication.
Support executive communications, employee engagement, culture, and change-management initiatives.
Create presentation materials, graphics, templates, and basic multimedia/video content.
Maintain and organize SharePoint and other internal digital communication channels.
Support content governance, audits, publishing standards, and content lifecycle activities.
Track communications metrics and maintain recurring reports, scorecards, and dashboards.
Manage editorial calendars, project trackers, templates, and communications workflows.
Support approved AI and automation tools that improve communications processes and productivity.
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, digital communications, change communications, or a related field.
Strong writing, editing, content development, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and approval processes simultaneously.
Experience with SharePoint, intranet platforms, or digital workplace communications.
Comfortable working with technical subject matter; cybersecurity or technology industry experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
Experience with Excel, Power BI, dashboards, communications analytics, or reporting is a plus.
Familiarity with Copilot, Power Automate, or other AI-enabled productivity tools is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, English, Digital Media, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
