The Sous Chef supports the Chef de Cuisine in leading day-to-day back-of-house operations and maintaining a consistent, organized, and high-performing kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on strong service execution, team development, and upholding kitchen standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the kitchen during service, ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely execution
• Oversee station readiness, line checks, prep, and mise en place
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and organization
• Train, coach, and support line cooks and BOH team members
• Step into stations as needed to maintain service flow
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
• Support inventory, ordering, waste control, and food and labor cost management
• Partner with BOH and FOH teams to support smooth service
• Act as the kitchen leader in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional kitchen experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong cooking skills and understanding of kitchen operations
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to coach and hold team members accountable
• Food Protection Certification preferred
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: Salary ($50,000.00 - $65,000.00)
