OT - Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. This role requires a commitment to patient and employee safety, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care. Responsibilities Assess patients' level of functioning and develop appropriate treatment plans based on evaluations. Participate in discharge planning, including patient and family education and necessary equipment recommendations. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in the application of OT techniques. Maintain compliance with documentation requirements, including daily progress notes and treatment plans. Promote safety by adhering to guidelines for patient handling, infectious diseases, and workplace safety. Demonstrate effective communication with patients and their families, ensuring their understanding of treatment processes. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in team conferences. Manage time effectively while accommodating patient scheduling and conflicts. Promote a team-oriented environment, demonstrating a strong customer service attitude at all times. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
