We are looking for an elite, recently graduated MBA to serve as our Head of Growth, driving aggressive market expansion and inventing the future of Merx.AI. If your five‑year plan is to run or own a company of your own, this is the operating‑and‑building rep that gets you there faster than anything else you could be doing. We are transforming a proven, profitable logistics enterprise into an industry‑disrupting platform. We need a fiercely execution‑minded leader to join our team, take extreme ownership, and build our Go‑To‑Market engine from the ground up. We want a first‑principles operator with a high bias for action to own the growth agenda and drive the pivot. About Merx.AI We're a ~$50M asset‑light trucking company with a 22‑year track record of operational excellence and an industry‑leading safety profile, specializing in hazmat freight. We're pivoting from a traditional carrier into a platform for independent owner‑operators — providing freight, compliance, and insurance. We're at a massive inflection point: by capitalizing on historic regulatory shifts, the biggest market dislocation our industry has seen, and AI‑driven efficiency, we're executing a plan to scale from $50M to $250M+ over the next two years. What You’ll Own Drive the pivot: Spearhead our transition from a traditional asset‑light carrier into a high‑growth, tech‑enabled AI platform for owner‑operators. Own the Go-To-Market Engine: Architect and execute the strategy to rapidly acquire, onboard, and retain independent owner‑operators. Build the Ecosystem: Develop, launch, and scale our core platform offerings, namely recruiting, freight, compliance and insurance. Hit the number: Act as the owner's strategic and operational engine to take top line from $50M to $250M+ in two years, translating vision into flawless execution on the highest‑priority initiatives. Deploy AI and data: Identify and ship AI use cases that cut overhead and automate manual workflow to outmaneuver legacy competitors. Analyze operational and financial data. Identify trends and patterns and suggest improvements to profitability and efficiency. Lead the Frontlines: You will not be managing from an ivory tower. You will be in the trenches, testing acquisition channels, pitching partners, and refining the product offering based on real‑world market feedback. Who You Are Recent top‑MBA grad (Booth, Kellogg, or equivalent), ideally 1–3 years out. This is a builder's seat, not a caretaker's. You want to be an owner/operator. You see this as the launchpad to running or buying a business of your own, and you want the operating reps to get there. Mindset: Relentless. A true builder, real grit. High bias for action, extreme ownership, first‑principles thinker who thrives on blank‑canvas challenges and the hunger to grow this business fast with minimal or no supervision. Sharp with numbers. Strong financial and analytical acumen; you can find deployable AI use cases and cut overhead without breaking what works. Ability to build financial models, analyze market data, and translate strategy into hard revenue. Compensation Massive upside via defined performance‑based bonus tied directly to top‑line revenue targets and scale, plus phantom equity (up to 1%) tied to enterprise value you help create, realized upon a qualifying event.
