Hiring School Nurse (RN) – 2026–2027 School Year

Location: Chicago, IL
Contract Position

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a dedicated School Nurse (RN) for a full-time contract position serving students in grades K–8 in Chicago, Illinois. There is currently one opening available. The ideal candidate will provide daily healthcare services to students, including students with IEPs and 504 Plans. Common healthcare needs include diabetes care, asthma care, and general student health needs. The position has an average caseload of approximately 35 students and currently does not involve severe or profound medical needs.

Hours: Full-Time

Grades: K–8th Grade

Setting: School-Based

Average Caseload: Approximately 35 students

Primary Responsibilities: Daily healthcare services, including diabetes care, asthma care, and general student health needs

Special Education Support: Provide healthcare services and support outlined in student IEPs and 504 Plans

Job Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required

Experience working in a school-based setting preferred

Experience providing care for school-aged children preferred

Experience with diabetes and asthma care preferred

Ability to provide healthcare services outlined in student IEPs and 504 Plans

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and school staff
