Technical Business Analyst

Job Description

We are working with a leading alternative asset manager seeking a well-rounded Technical Business Analyst to focus on system enhancement delivery, management, and support. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, can work independently, and communicates clearly with both business and technology stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide first-line IT support for Regulatory Compliance and Legal business systems
Run daily checks on automated feeds; identify and resolve errors
Assist business users with troubleshooting reports and identifying data issues
Deliver process and technology solutions aimed at increasing Regulatory Compliance and Legal process efficiency
Collect, review, and document business needs, requirements, user documentation, and process flows; coordinate design reviews; serve as a liaison between technology and business units
Perform complex analysis projects and clearly articulate and present solutions, rationale, issues, and trade-offs
Provide technical developers with the documentation needed to perform application builds and customizations
Perform data analysis and profiling activities; identify and resolve data gap and quality issues
Collaborate with data source and target system owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify appropriate data resources
Perform application configuration and manage system releases/upgrades
Develop and execute QA/test scripts

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst within a financial institution
Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between business and technology teams
Ability to produce clear documentation (process flows, user guides, technical requirements) for both business and technical audiences
