Director, Business Development — M&A & Professional Services
\n \n \nCan you turn credibility with bankers, PE sponsors, lawyers and senior advisors into new business?
\n \nAn established international advisory and risk-solutions business is looking for a Chicago-based business development professional to grow its presence across the transaction community.
\n \nThe business acts as an advisor and partner to clients pursuing acquisitions and investments. Its teams combine legal, financial, tax and insurance expertise to help address transaction risks through specialist insurance and related advisory solutions.
\n \nYour focus will be commercial: build trusted relationships, uncover opportunities and bring the right experts into the conversation.
\n \nYour responsibilities
\n- \n
- Develop new relationships with M&A bankers, transactional attorneys and investment professionals. \n
- Build referral relationships that generate repeat introductions to live deals. \n
- Create and manage your own new-business pipeline. \n
- Work with specialist colleagues to develop opportunities around clients’ transaction needs. \n
- Represent the business at relevant industry events and meetings. \n
Your background
\nYou have sold a product, service or solution to sophisticated professional buyers and can demonstrate business you personally originated.
\nExperience in financial information, legal technology, transaction services, consulting, deal software or another relevant professional-services environment could translate well.
\nWe’re looking for someone who combines relationship-building with a clear appetite for winning business.
