Nursing staff provides care to patients to help achieve specific post-op milestones for discharge. No Chemotherapy or Biotherapy is administered on this unit. Staff does not need to be chemo certified to apply. Nursing care is provided accordingly to achieve specific post-op milestones for discharge. Patients do not typically receive Chemotherapy or Biotherapy while admitted on this unit, therefore, this type of certification is not needed to apply. Special Procedures/Unit Details : Specialty care is tailored towards diagnoses and procedures related to the abdomen or pelvic area. Nurses are given educational resources to support knowledge gaps for special precautions to consider with each procedure. - Gynecologic Oncology- Urology Oncology- Colorectal- Pancreatic- Liver- Stomach Special Equipment : This unit utilizes standard medical equipment that does not require specialized training.
