We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkThis position is located at Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina. Alexander Correctional Institution is a closed custody male facility.Reporting to the Administrative Officer III, this position’s primary job function will be to direct phone calls throughout the facility and will provide clerical support services to the facility. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:• Answering all incoming calls and direct to the appropriate areas of the facility.• Updating all facility extension/ phone list.• Log Incoming Calls.• Process call back requests.• Notify staff of offender's program and mental health appointments.• Relaying public information to incoming callers.• Maintaining files/records according to departmental policy, to allow for quick, easy access, and retrieval of information requested.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Grade Range: $31,200.00 - $51,249.00Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions.
