Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Primary Care

SCHEDULE
8-hr day shifts

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Assignment type: Extension (current end 3/28; proposed extension 3/29-5/09)

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- EMR experience: Epic required
- Skills:
- Immunizations and vaccine administration
- Injections: intramuscular, subcutaneous; assist with joint injections
- Vital signs, triage, patient education, medication reconciliation
- Obtain 12-lead EKG, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, nebulizer treatments
- Point-of-care testing: glucometer, strep, urine dip/UA
- Basic wound care/suture removal, TB skin testing, pelvic/Pap exams

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient primary care setting.
- Administer vaccines and injections, including assisting with joint injections.
- Perform patient assessments, triage, and education.
- Conduct point-of-care testing and obtain vital signs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- License required in hand for submission in some states; must comply with licensure requirements before issuance.
- Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing if applicable.
