Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island SPED Certification required
• Prior experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred
• Understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction for elementary students with special learning requirements
• Develop and implement effective strategies based on IEPs to foster academic progress
• Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistent support and goal achievement
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that values student growth and participation
• Engage in ongoing professional development as applicable

What You Can Expect:

• Contract position starting as soon as possible and extending through June 17th, 2027
• Full-time hours, 37.5–40 per week across five days, providing consistent engagement with students and colleagues
