Qualifications:

• Active Rhode Island RIDE Special Education Teacher certification
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience preferred
• Previous school-based special education experience strongly preferred
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
• Meet all state and school requirements for service provision

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and small-group supports to middle school students (grades 5–8)
• Co-plan and collaborate with general education teachers
• Implement and monitor IEP goals; facilitate IEP meetings
• Track student progress and maintain documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff
• Participate in professional development, meetings, and school activities
• Foster an achievement-oriented, inclusive learning environment
