Staff Accountant
We are seeking an energetic, positive, and results-driven Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of all aspects of bank reconciliations and demonstrate persistence and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities. This role requires an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional with superb organizational skills. A precise and systematic approach, coupled with excellent Excel skills, will be crucial. The staff accountant will play a critical role in the financial reporting process, focusing on bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end close activities.
The role will include supporting the Finance department in a variety of projects from start to finish to ensure compliance and accuracy. Now is your opportunity to join our professional administrative team!

Responsibilities
- Bank Reconciliations – Red Coats, Admiral Security, Datawatch (Payroll and Operating Accounts)
- Auto Leases
- AP/AR Cash Reconciliation (Mid-month and EOM)
- Investment Bank Reconciliations
- Credit Card Processing and upload (RC, AD)
- Auto Ticket Processing
- Other projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent years of experience required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a focus on month-end close, ideally in a service-oriented industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel) - Experience with Lawson & AS400 is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities
- Continuous improvement mindset
