Radiologic Technologist (X-ray)

Location:  Bakersfield, CA

Start Date:  07-06-2026

End Date:  10-05-2026

Contract Type:  Contract

Shift Type:  Various shifts including weekends every other, holidays as needed, rotating on-call with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray and MRI of brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
• Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment with precision
• Utilize Radnet and Merge Unity PACS for image management and documentation
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Float to nearby facility (Mercy Southwest, approx. 6.5 miles away) as needed
• Collaborate with lead technologist and radiologists to optimize patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in X-ray and MRI imaging techniques
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient positioning
• Familiarity with GE and Toshiba equipment
• Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity systems
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in X-ray and MRI
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT certification required
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and take on-call shifts with 30-minute response time
• Willingness to float to other locations
