Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary mental health evaluations through virtual platforms, documenting comprehensive case histories from initial assessments to the conclusion of therapy.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans, tailored to the unique needs of each client and regularly update them based on progress.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying therapeutic techniques that encourage engagement and foster a safe space for sharing.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans and strategies as needed to optimize therapy outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure holistic care and continuity of treatment.

• Provide timely follow-ups with hospital staff for clients requiring inpatient care to support their transition back to outpatient services.

• Help families and caregivers navigate and manage behavioral health challenges through consultation and resource provision.

• Participate in peer reviews and case discussions to share insights and strategies for enhanced patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. Your role is pivotal in creating pathways for recovery and resilience, facilitating therapeutic relationships that empower clients to express themselves and explore their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensure: Must possess current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• Examinations: A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a direct counseling role is essential.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, and telehealth technology.

• Knowledge: Understanding of co-occurring medical conditions and their implications for mental health treatment is advantageous.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective client interaction and documentation.

• Interpersonal Skills: A compassionate nature and strong interpersonal skills that foster trusting therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience working with clients experiencing addiction disorders and significant emotional challenges.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
