Make a lasting impact on K-12 students’ lives as a Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) Social Worker/Counselor in a dynamic school environment near Grand Blanc, MI. This contract opportunity supports the 2026-2027 academic year (August 17 – June 11), offering 35 hours per week of meaningful work in a collaborative setting. You’ll work closely with general education and special education teams, helping to shape data-driven interventions and provide essential case management for children and families.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited institution
• Current, full Michigan licensure to practice as a social worker or counselor (LMSW or LPC); limited licenses (LLMSW/LLPC) considered with commitment to full licensure
• Previous experience in a public school or related agency preferred
• Familiarity with collaborative teams and MTSS frameworks
• Ability to work on-site and manage a K-12 caseload
• Must provide LARA license, MDE SW Approval, and official university transcripts

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist staff in choosing and utilizing data collection methods, interpreting data, and shaping intervention strategies
• Design and implement tiered interventions in consultation with educators
• Offer case management for students and families requiring multiple supports
• Participate in student support teams, MTSS, and parent conferences
• Manage and report student data, maintaining accurate documentation and logs
• Provide research-based, data-driven intervention strategies to staff
• Coordinate services for families and engage parents in the educational process
• Deliver individual or group counseling and intervention services to students
• Apply effective behavior management techniques
