Federal Work-Study Position

General Purpose And Scope Of The Position:

Under the direction of the College Registrar, this Federal Work-Study position provides administrative support for the office.

Note: Must be a currently enrolled student at Ivy Tech Community College to be eligible for this position.

Educational Outcomes:

• Understand how the Registrar's Office functions and supports the teaching and learning of a college
• Learn and use technology that supports the Registrar's Office
• How to collaborate and provide customer service.

Major Responsibilities:

• Check the office mail and distribute mail to the campuses and to the student hub.
• Image and scan student records.
• Monitors the office inbox and communicates information.
• Assists with data entry for processing transcripts.
• Assists the office in troubleshooting system issues.

This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Hourly Rate: $15 per hour

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

• Must work well in a team environment and exercise sound problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and use databases, Excel sheets, and the Microsoft Office suite and provide excellent customer service.
• Must demonstrate the ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and in which every individual feels respected and valued.
