Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake various responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health history, particularly focusing on trauma experiences.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery from trauma and enhancing resilience.

• Delivering a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their traumatic experiences and build effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other health care professionals to ensure cohesive, multidisciplinary care for each client.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective support for clients in distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services primarily cater to individuals experiencing post-traumatic stress disorders, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders. The population we serve includes adults and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma, requiring a skilled and empathetic approach to therapy that recognizes their unique challenges and needs.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.

• Demonstrable knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n
