IT Support Specialist (3rd Shift)

Location: Vancouver, WA (Onsite)

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $28.00/hour

Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Days off: Sunday & Wednesday

Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide overnight technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, supporting hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, workstations, and user accounts. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the front-line point of contact for technical support requests.
• Provide support for hardware, software, operating systems, mobile devices, printers, and computer systems via phone, email, chat, and remote support tools.
• Triage, prioritize, document, and escalate incidents through the IT ticketing system as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using established support procedures.
• Deliver professional customer service through clear verbal and written communication.
• Monitor and respond to system outages, service interruptions, and network-related issues.
• Configure, install, maintain, and perform basic repairs on computers, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Process user account requests, password resets, access permissions, and related security changes.
• Assist with IT asset management, including equipment inventory, tracking, shipping, receiving, and recovery.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Support deployments, upgrades, system implementations, and ongoing IT initiatives.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates and service records.
• Participate in after-hours support activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, Service Desk, or Desktop Support.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using ticketing systems to manage and track support requests.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently during overnight shifts.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and user account administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mobile devices and wireless technologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and identity and access management.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certification.
• Experience with IT asset management and inventory processes.
