Contract Family Law Legal Assistant

Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a local firm to find a contract family law legal assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in a busy family law practice. Responsibilities include providing administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals, maintaining electronic and physical client files, managing attorney calendars, appointments, and meetings, preparing correspondence, engagement letters, and other legal documents, assisting with state court filings and electronic filing, communicating with courts and prothonotaries, entering attorney billable time and processing expense reports, and answering phones and providing general administrative support. Qualifications include 2+ years of legal assistant or legal support experience, experience with PACER, court filings, and prothonotary websites, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
