Job Title

Operating Room Registered Nurse – Level 4

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days/Evenings/Nights) | On-call, callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Scrub and circulate for surgical procedures in a Level 1 trauma center environment
• Assist with robotic-assisted surgical cases utilizing da Vinci robotic systems across multiple service lines
• Support transplant program procedures including liver, kidney, and heart transplants
• Adapt to on-call, callback, and rotating shift requirements including holidays and weekends as needed by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license (NY state license required)
• Minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience
• Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two (2) or more years of OR experience in a Level 1 trauma center setting
• Telemetry experience (highly desired)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Experience with specialty cases including transplants, plastics, reconstructive surgery, craniotomy, and a strong orthopedic surgical background
