Toast POS Specialist for AI Model Training

Apply your hands-on Toast POS and restaurant operations expertise to an AI training initiative focused on improving how advanced systems understand point of sale workflows, order management, payments, and real-world restaurant processes. Prior AI experience is not required, domain expertise in Toast POS and restaurant technology is the key focus. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Toast POS workflows and provide detailed feedback on order entry, payment processing, reporting, and related functionality.
• Create scenario-based documentation and step-by-step guidance based on real restaurant operations using Toast POS.
• Review system functionality in depth, identify improvement opportunities, and explain approaches to troubleshooting common operational issues.
• Provide detailed guidance on best practices for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Toast POS across different restaurant environments.
• Annotate and evaluate transaction data, menus, and order flows to improve AI understanding of restaurant POS operations.
• Explain Toast POS concepts clearly through written and verbal communication to support knowledge transfer.
• Participate in collaborative sessions to refine prompts, tasks, and datasets related to Toast POS and restaurant order management.
• Use real-world subject matter expertise to help train next-generation AI systems and improve how those systems learn, reason, and perform.

• Significant hands-on experience with Toast POS, including configuration, troubleshooting, and day-to-day restaurant use.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and how point of sale systems connect with order and payment processes.
• Knowledge of Toast POS, restaurant operations, point of sale systems, and order and payment management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to document processes and explain technical concepts in a user-friendly way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with multiple restaurant formats, including quick service, casual dining, and fine dining, and how POS requirements vary among them.
• Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and an interest in process improvement.
• Experience training, mentoring, or supporting others in adopting restaurant technology solutions is a plus.

Compensation ranges from $28 to $92 per hour.
