Surgical Technologist - Rotating Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Rotating shift, 12 x 3 schedule.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will perform essential tasks in the operating room to assist the surgical team. Your responsibilities will include setting up sterile setups for surgical procedures, passing instruments, preparing supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe environment throughout the operation.

Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions.

Assemble both sterile and non-sterile equipment, ensuring proper function.

Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning, shaving, and ensuring aseptic incision sites.

Assist the surgical team with sterile gown and glove application.

Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during surgery and help count all surgical items.

Assist in specimen collection and care while applying dressings as needed.

Ensure all medications are prepared and labeled correctly for the surgical team.

Contribute to cleanup and restock the operating room post-surgery.

2 years of experience as a surgical technologist is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC).

Compliance with applicable PA and NY state laws regarding surgical technologists.
