Life Insurance Sales Advisor | District Team

Farmers Insurance District 40 | Lansing, MI
$40,000–$50,000 Base + Uncapped Commission | Full-Time, W-2 | Monday–Friday

Farmers Insurance District 40 is looking for a Life Insurance Sales Advisor to join our team in Lansing. You'll work alongside our District team and partner with 70+ Farmers agency owners, giving you access to established client books, agency referrals, life reviews, and warm sales opportunities.

Your main focus is simple: sell life insurance and help our agencies sell more of it.

You'll be surrounded by successful agency owners and a District team that wants to keep growing. You won't be starting from scratch either. You'll have access to 70+ established agencies and their client books while still having the ability to generate and own your own sales opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Sell life insurance through agency referrals, existing books, life reviews, and self-generated opportunities

• Conduct client appointments, outbound calls, and follow-up

• Partner with agents and producers on joint life sales

• Visit agencies and help identify opportunities within their books

• Assist with case design and pipeline management

• Coach agency teams on creating and closing more life opportunities

• Help our agencies and District reach their life production goals

What We're Looking For

• Active Michigan Life & Health license required

• Life insurance sales experience strongly preferred

• Strong sales and relationship-building skills

• Comfortable prospecting, presenting, following up, and closing

• Competitive, self-motivated, and accountable to goals

• Someone who believes in the value of life insurance and wants to build a career around it

We are willing to train someone with limited life experience if they have strong sales ability and the drive to learn. Financial services experience or additional licensing is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Growth

• $40,000–$50,000 base salary

• Uncapped commission

• Split commission when partnering with agency teams

• Full commission on eligible self-generated life opportunities

• Full-time W-2 position

• Monday–Friday schedule

We're continuing to grow our Life department, and we want this person to grow with it. There is opportunity to take on more responsibility, mentor future specialists, move into leadership, and potentially help oversee the District's life strategy.
