About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to provide financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making within a nonprofit environment. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the CFO, overseeing core finance functions such as accounting, budgeting, grants, and audit. This role requires a professional with a strong background in finance, including team management, and the ability to work with government-funded programs and NYC agencies. The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for finance leadership, team management, strategic partnership, financial reporting, banking and cash management, and stakeholder collaboration. Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years' experience in nonprofit or social services organizations, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role, is required. The role demands a candidate with strong technical skills in financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and accounting systems, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. The Vice President of Finance will be expected to manage large teams and complex financial operations, and experience in this area is essential.
